No. It is an American-oriented organization, operating in Canada with a focus on business between Canada and the United States. It works with other related voluntary associations of commerce in the United States and abroad and is part of the largest business network around the globe, loosely referred to as ‘Amchams'. Like most chambers it is a member-driven organization operated for the benefit of its members.

How does AmCham Canada represent my interests to Government?
AmCham Canada is independently represented as needed in Washington D.C. and elsewhere in the United States of America. In Canada it is registered in compliance with national requirements as a lobby group on behalf of its members.
AmCham Canada focuses on sound and reputable information, clear communication and maintenance of the integrity of its mission in representing members to the best of its ability. Special issues may frequently have many other associations with similar interests and AmCham will work co-operatively where logic dictates.
